mike snowSergeant Michael Snow began his career with the DeSoto County Sheriff’s Office on April 17, 2006, as a Deputy for the Uniformed Patrol Division.  In October of 2013 he was promoted to Sergeant of the School Resource Deputy Program (SRD).  

Sergeant Snow has attended multiple training courses which relate to his job duties, such as School Resource Officer Basic Training, Search Seizure Case Law, and Florida Gang Investigators Association Training.  Sergeant Snow attends the annual Florida Association of School Resource Officers (F.A.S.R.O) Conference. 

Sergeant Snow has undertaken additional education consisting in the following:

Patrol Rifle Training, Death & Homicide, Interviews & Interrogations, Investigation Interviews, Amber Alert Training, SRO Basic Training, Advanced SRO Training, Florida Association of School Resource Officer (F.A.S.R.O), and Florida Gang Investigators Association Training (F.G.I.A). 

Prior to his employment with the DeSoto County Sheriff’s Office Sergeant Snow worked with the Department of Juvenile Justice as a Supervisor at the DeSoto Juvenile Correctional Complex.  His duties included supervising over 7 staff and over 20 youth on a high-risk Unit.  Therefore, he brought valuable experience with him to the School Resource Division.

During his off-duty time, Sergeant Snow is a member of the DeSoto County Youth Baseball (DCYB) Organization.  He volunteers as a coach for one of the Organization’s baseball teams.  On and off the field, Sergeant Snow is a positive influence to the youth he coaches in our community.
