At The DeSoto County Sheriff’s Office, we are grateful for the sacrifice our nation’s veterans, military men and women, and their families have made in service to our country. We are proud to have these Military Veterans among us. They possessed the courage, pride, determination, selflessness, dedication to duty and integrity – all the qualities needed to serve a cause larger than one’s self. To our Military Veteran Members here at the DeSoto County Sheriff’s Office we say “Thank You” for answering the call to duty. You have made our armed forces the most respected in the world. God bless you and your families, God bless our troops and God bless America.

"We remember those who were called upon to give all a person can give, and we remember those who were prepared to make that sacrifice if it were demanded of them in the line of duty, though it never was. Most of all, we remember the devotion and gallantry with which all of them ennobled their nation as they became champions of a noble cause." -- Ronald Reagan
