Nichole Thurek, our Public Information Coordinator at the DeSoto County Sheriff's Office, brings a wealth of experience and dedication to her role. Holding a Bachelor of Science degree in Journalism, with a minor in Communication Studies from the University of Florida, Nichole's passion for disseminating crucial information was evident from her college days. During her time at the university, she actively engaged with various organizations, championing local news and ensuring the campus community stayed informed.

Following graduation, Nichole embarked on a career as a producer for a local news station, where she served the Southwest Florida community with diligence and commitment. A native of the sunshine state, her roots run deep, and her dedication to serving others with honesty and integrity shines through in all her endeavors.

In her role as the Public Information Coordinator, Nichole's primary focus is to serve the residents of DeSoto County by providing them with essential information to ensure their safety and well-being.
