Criminal Investigation Units

These units are responsible for investigating the following:

Burglary:  both residential and commercial.
Theft & Entering Auto:  Burglary to a vehicle and felony thefts.

All other felony offenses involving property crimes.
Auto Theft Unit
This unit is responsible for investigating the following:

Vehicle Theft:  to include autos, motorcycles, boats, and aircraft.
Pawn Enforcement Unit

This unit is supervised by the Lietenant assigned to the Criminal Investigations Unit.  This unit is responsible for investigating and regulating the following:

Regulation & Compliance:  All pawn shops located within unincorporated DeSoto County.
Pawned stolen items including weapons.
