Patrol Division 

The Desoto County Sheriff's Office Road Patrol consists of 27 officers and support staff. Deputies work 12 hour shifts and each has attended over 800 hours of training. Each deputy is trained in every area of law enforcement.

The DeSoto County Sheriff's Office offers additional training and distance learning to all of its employees.

The Uniformed Road Patrol Division serves as the primary first responders to calls for service to the more than 35.000 residents who live in the unincorporated areas of DeSoto County.  The coverage area is 684 square miles.  They also assist the Arcadia Police Department upon request.

    Dispatched from the E-911 Communications Center in Arcadia, Patrol is supervised by one captain, two lieutenants and four sergeants.
