Dear Fellow Citizens,

As your sheriff, I am charged with the responsibility of enforcing the law in a fair and impartial manner to prevent and deter crime, and when that fails, to apprehend and detain those who are accused or convicted of violating the law. Enforcement of the law must be conducted within the statutory and judicial limitations of police authority. It must ensure the safety and well being of the community while preserving the constitutional rights of all persons.

Over the next four years, you can be assured that I will work with our commissioners, our community, and my staff to establish a level of service that will effectively provide safety and security at a reasonable cost to you, the taxpayer.

 I am proud of the men and women who work at the DeSoto County Sheriff's Office. While they work for me, they are dedicated to you the citizens of this county. Their goal is to provide the best services possible. Together with your assistance and understanding, we will keep our community safe and one of the most enjoyable places to live.
