WHEREAS, an emergency can happen at any given time and, in that

WHEREAS, we expect that when we make that call, someone will be

WHEREAS, the Emergency 9-1-1 personnel in DeSoto County,
Florida work 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, sacrificing weekends and holidays

WHEREAS, the safety of our police officers, firefighters and emergency
Medical personnel is largely dependent upon the quality and accuracy of

WHEREAS, the week of April 13-19, 2014 is set aside as National
Public Safety Telecommunicators Week, NOW THEREFORE,
